the madman and his stars...

Tathir's works...Fine Arts Annual Display 09'

...conversations, the little occasions when words turn up decked in their Sunday best. some are dressed suave, others hip. most are causal. only a few truly intriguing. and so we decided to converse, me and a friend who once made a flute that played a quaint tune. for a long time we both said nothing. and then thus spake he...

"The madman who used to collect pebbles in the streets once during the night looked up at the sky. He then started collecting stars thinking of them as pebbles...Now we don't see many stars in the sky!"
~ Akhilesh Arya

...i agree. we don't see many stars. i miss them stars.

The pause had such a philosophical thought pregnant in it...! That indeed is some thought.

And some conversation.

yes.We dont see many stars. Thats what i think most of the time. At others, i see people who think of themselves as stars.

And then, i go about my work. Wondering about falling stars.

Kavi: it is a wonder how amidst the hullabaloo of our daily grind, we continue to loose so much...most of it we never even realize.

i miss the stars.

d'Gypsy: as a friend of mine put it today, "i live in a quaint little-big town."there used to be stars here. but of late they have been quietly slipping away...running off to some place else. to Shimla, perhaps.

Wow! Arty description of conversation, without the narration of the conversation!

BTW, on Sunday, I am rather dressed my worse. Only on those Sundays when the bucket's luck is especially good, do I even take a bath! ;)

And maybe, paintings and pebble picking in the same post kinda make me think of a Pebble-o-Pick-Ass-o! The ass who picked pebbles and painted. No I am not describing your friends of the post, even if the two happen to be the same person!

Although if he were in my circle, he would surely have earned that nickname today ;)

But then, the radius of my circle is 0. So there is just one point on and in the circle and it happens to be both the centre and the circle - Me.

Stupid-O: i am not surprised at the radius of your circle. it figures. what you have is not a circle. it's a dot [.]

...Pebble-o-Pick-Ass-o! good one mate! lmao!! i shall be sure to mention it to my bunch of artists...

:D

stars... as many as you want... I know a place... nearby the little city where I was born... where you can see the Milky Way in all its beauty - in the middle of those hills where little owls greet you every evening...
I nearly forgot it!
